The Town

ADH is one of Europe's largest and highest ski resorts. Alpe d'Huez boasts to have seen some of the best snowfalls in recent years. The town enjoys blue skies so often that it is called the island of sunshine.

In winter the resort boasts 220km of pistes, including the famous 16km Sarenne, the world's largest black run. Alpe d'Huez has a world beating free riding culture and for free style skiers and boarders it has its own board park and half pipe. For beginners there is excellent guidance from the resort's ski school, covering gentle green slopes ideal for newcomers to the sport. Other Facilities

The Leisure Center of ADH contains many facilities including indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts, squash courts, bowls, and table tennis. There is also a very well equip gym, sports hall, and a full size ice skating rink, so you will never be short of activity if that's what your after.
